English Language

To be fluent in English is an invaluable advantage in today's world. English is the world language that connects hundreds of millions of people worldwide. There are also many people with different nationalities in Germany, especially in the international city of Bonn, this language brings together. Children who learn multiple languages and thus get into contact with different cultures at an early age will inevitably be more open to new languages and cultures later on.

Children pick up new languages much quicker and with a lot less effort than adults do. This is due to their natural curiosity and the lack of fear to embarrass themselves when trying out new things. With the same enthusiasm your child uses in developing his or her senses through sight, taste and touch, a second or a third language will be acquired naturally. At Max and Mary we have children who speak three languages and even in those cases the children do not confuse them. In regions like South Tyrol or parts of Switzerland it is common to raise children with multiple languages.

The early years are therefore an ideal time to learn new languages. Never again will your child bring so much motivation and have so much time. Without grades and pressure he or she can explore the English language at his or her own pace. It is fascinating to see how quickly children develop a passive understanding of the language, without most parents noticing it. Once they actively start using it, however, many are amazed by the rapid development.

At Max and Mary the teachers will address your child in English. This leads to an environment in which it is totally normal to speak in English. Therefore, children become familiar with it much quicker and do not just develop a passive understanding of the language. Some of our teachers will communicate with the children in German whenever necessary. We pay close attention to enable especially those, who will visit a German primary school later on, to be fluent in German. If necessary we will spent extra time on tutoring.

Later in life, your child will never have this great opportunity of learning another language so effortlessly again. That is why we chose to lay a focus on an English speaking environment at Max and Mary.
