What is the minimum age for children to be admitted?
Your child should be at least 4 months old.
Why do you do interviews for the admission to Max and Mary?
Just like you we would like to convince ourselves that Max and Mary is the right kindergarten for your child.
What are the criteria for admission?
You should be convinced that Max and Mary is the best kindergarten for your child.
May I leave my child at Max and Mary longer than agreed?
Certainly. We will do everything to have you satisfied.
Can special wishes (e.g. due to allergies) be regarded at meals?
At all times our primary goal is the well-being of your child. That includes considering all special characteristics and needs your child may have.
When should we apply in order to have a good chance of being admitted?
As early as possible. Places are rare and we consider applications in the order of reception.
Are guest-children allowed at Max and Mary?
As long as we can ensure an ideal care for all children at all times they are welcome.
Do you expect personal engagement of parents and if so, which kind?
No, we are at your service and not the other way around. We are more than happy as long as you love bringing your child to us.
How do you ensure my child will only be picked up by authorized people?
Naturally we will check the authorization every time someone other than you as parents would like to pick up your child.
What should I do when my child is ill?
Please inform us as soon as you are able to.
What are your teachers' qualifications?
All teachers are carefully selected depending on their education and work experience. That alone, however, is not sufficient. Only those who show real passion and conviction for Max and Mary have a chance.
How many children are taught by a single teacher?
That depends on the age of your child. The teacher-child ratio ranges between 1:6 and 1:8. We adhere to the suggestions of the Bertelsmann-Stiftung, which puts us a long way ahead of most public kindergartens.
Is my child allowed to bring its own toys and cuddly animals?
Of course we know there are cuddly animals your child would dearly miss so naturally those are allowed at Max and Mary. Your child's toys, however, won't be necessary to bring along as we have plenty at the kindergarten. We would like to avoid loss or damage of personal toys and the associated disappointment.
Are there any privileges for siblings in the application process?
Yes. That is the only priority we take into account beside the date of application.
Do you grant a discount for siblings?
Since siblings receive the same amount of care and love as any other child at Max and Mary we can't give huge discounts. We do provide a small loyalty bonus, though.
